This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: The Madison Club, set outside of La Quinta, CA.

The Madison is seeking a Pilates Instructor to join the Fitness Department.

The Pilates Instructor provides exceptional, personalized Pilates instruction through private, semi-private, and group classes. This role ensures a safe, supportive, and motivating environment while upholding the club’s service and wellness standards. The instructor designs customized programs, teaches proper form and technique, and supports the overall success of the fitness and wellness department in this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality private, semi-private, and group Pilates sessions.
• Customize programs based on member goals, fitness levels, and limitations.
• Ensure safe and proper use of Pilates equipment, offering modifications and corrections as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment.
• Build positive relationships with members and provide exceptional service.
• Conduct pre-session assessments and monitor participant safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the Spa & Fitness leadership team regarding scheduling, equipment needs, and member updates.
• Maintain accurate session records and uphold all club policies and wellness standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• Comprehensive Pilates certification (Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair, and Mat).
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention.
• Ability to tailor programs to individual fitness levels, goals, and limitations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a luxury service environment.
• Ability to instruct safely, providing proper technique cues, corrections, and modifications.
• Professional, polished, and member-service–focused demeanor.
• Strong observation skills to monitor safety and form throughout sessions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Certification must include:

• Mat training
• Reformer
• Anatomy & movement principles
• Practical teaching hours

Experience in a luxury spa, private club, or resort environment.
