Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation & Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain Lenel access control systems, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform server installations, software upgrades, and system integrations for physical security platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Project Design & Execution

  • Contribute to the design and build of physical security systems for renovations and new construction projects.
  • Develop technical specifications, layouts, and system architecture for access control and surveillance.
  • Manage contractors and vendors during project execution and ongoing maintenance.

Operational Support

  • Conduct site assessments and recommend improvements to physical security infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, upgrades, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Provide occasional on-call support for urgent system issues or incidents outside of regular business hours.

Travel & Field Work

  • Travel to various sites as required for installations, inspections, and support.
  • Safely work at heights and on ladders, adhering to all safety protocols and training.

Technology & Collaboration

  • Utilize Microsoft O365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, reporting, and collaboration.
  • Maintain organized records and contribute to project tracking and reporting using O365 tools.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in physical security systems, including:
    • Access Control Systems (Lenel preferred)
    • CCTV and video surveillance
    • Intrusion detection systems
    • Server installation and software upgrades
  • Experience with physical security design and implementation for renovations and new builds.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate project timelines.
  • Comfortable working at heights; certified in ladder safety and fall protection.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 applications and environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Lenel Certified Professional (LCP)
  • Ladder Safety & Fall Protection Training
  • WHMIS
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Axis, Genetec, Bosch, etc.)
