Position Overview

This position can be based remotely in the United States.

The Physical Security Analyst supports the evaluation and analysis of all security applications, systems, and tools to identify vulnerabilities and maintain operational excellence. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using security software and tools. The Analyst works closely with the SMC leadership and assists in conducting risk after action reviews, data analysis, and the implementation of best in class processes to enhance the organization's physical security posture.

This role is critical to maintaining Vantage’s high operational standards and supporting the company’s rapid global expansion. The Analyst will ensure the SMC operates as a reliable, 24/7/365 command-and-control environment that supports data center security operations, field teams, and customers in alignment with Vantage’s security standards and growth strategy.

Essential Job Functions

Operational Excellence

  • Manage all tools and applications used by SMC staff to ensure optimal use.

  • Become a SME at the use and troubleshooting of all systems and technology used by the SMC.

  • Maintain system readiness and staff knowledge.

Incident Management & Coordination

  • Assist with the development of incident management tools and systems.

System Technology & Oversight

  • Oversee the health and performance of all SMC technologies including access control, alarm integration and monitoring platforms (Genetec).

  • Collaborate with IT, Cyber Security and Security Technical Engineering teams to implement technology upgrades, integrations and automation initiatives.

  • Drive operational efficiency using analytics, data visualization and automation tools to enhance event detection and response.

  • Ensure system redundancy, cybersecurity alignment and adherence to uptime standards consistent with data center operations.

Standards, Training & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain SMC-specific SOPs, training programs and certification standards.

  • Conduct periodic audits, drills and performance assessments to ensure operational excellence and compliance with Vantage security standards and requirements.

  • Support national standardization of security processes across all regions in North America.

  • Partner with Compliance and risk teams to meet external requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.).

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the operational liaison between the SMC, Regional Security Managers, Physical Security and Security Leadership teams.

Job Requirements

Travel

  • Travel is expected to be up to 25% and may increase over time as the program evolves.

Experience

  • Proven experience in Security Operations Center management.

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) with security systems.

Skills

  • Strong leadership presence and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • Deep understanding of physical security operations, protective intelligence, and threat assessment methodologies.

  • Excellent decision-making, situational awareness, and operational problem-solving under pressure.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a proactive, hands-on leadership style.

  • Genetec certifications (Synergis, Omnicast, and Mission Control) are required.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $90,000-100,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on San Antonio, Texas, market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
