How You'll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available.
Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas.
Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others.
Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork.
Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.
What You Will Need
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Have (Not Required)
Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
