Summary:
In this role, you will cultivate and expand pharmacy program opportunities by collaborating with consultants, leadership, and subject matter experts to meet client needs through contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services. You will analyze clinical, contracting, financial, operational, and market trends to deliver insights that inform strategic direction, enhance program value, and support enterprise growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design and facilitate voice of customer engagements to learn stakeholders’ requirements, strategic agendas, and tactical direction.
Ensure stakeholders understand where and how to access pharmacy program offerings (e.g., contract catalog, reporting, clinical website, communications, peer-to-peer meetings).
Develop new and maintain current relationships with assigned stakeholders (e.g., leaders up to and including vice president level).
Synthesize inputs from client discussions and comparative data to generate actionable recommendations (e.g., previous years, business review information).
Maintain existing and generate new projects and contracts that produce strategic and market insights, best practices, and deliver value for stakeholders, leading projects and contracting teams to accomplish product goals.
Guide and influence cross-functional teams to ensure project and contract alignment to stakeholder needs and market competitiveness.
Recommend, diagnose, and validate root causes of healthcare strategic, operational, and clinical challenges; facilitate assessment of solutions that improve client value and growth.
Develop and present business and executive reviews to share metrics, insights, and opportunities
Create and deliver pharmacy program training and materials that increase understanding and drive utilization.
Generate and pursue new opportunities to grow pharmacy purchases, savings, and program adoption.
Develop analytics, reports, and tools that provide insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree (PharmD) required; master’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience in a pharmacy practice within a multi-system hospital environment with strong physician engagement required.
Deep knowledge of pharmacy supply chain operations, including distribution, sourcing, contract management, and purchasing required.
Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical and contracting opportunities to drive meaningful savings.
Skilled in leading and facilitating council or committee meetings.
Strong track record of setting and achieving rigorous KPIs and performance targets.
Proven leadership strength with effective presentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
