About the Opportunity:

As one of our Personal Care Assistants (Living Support Partners) you will be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team that is committed to creating a welcoming, professional and caring environment for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Kangaroo Point. Living Support Partners provide direct care and assistance to resident with all activities of daily living. They partner with residents to support their daily routine, lifestyle and choices and ensure they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged. This position is to work as an effective household member and is supervised, providing care for residents in a specific household. They are responsible for assisting and supporting their wellbeing through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties.
All positions contribute to the provision of quality and sustainable health services within the ethos of the philosophy, mission, values and ethics of St Vincent’s Health Australia.

Things that work for us:

  • Flexible to do any shifts during weekdays, especially AM and PM shifts (Minimum 3 days per week). No weekends shifts are available at this stage.

  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualifications essential

  • 6 months+ experience in a similar role with residential aged care experience highly regarded

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Experience with Autumn Care (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records

  • Understanding of Aged Care, resident rights/responsibilities with ability to follow the care plan

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check will be a requirement of this role.
