What We Do:

Our Performance Marketing team is the new business acquisition engine, driving growth for The Trade Desk. We partner hand-in-hand with the Commercial team on integrated marketing efforts to support lead generation, pipeline development, and conversion objectives. Our goal is to connect the world’s most ambitious marketers with the most innovative technology in media buying to drive the growth of their businesses.

This role requires expertise in performance marketing tactics, lead generation activities, and Salesforce workflows. You will be trusted to own key strategies with select Commercial leaders that drive measurable impact.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and own our annual performance marketing GTM strategy, including vision, objectives, activation plans, and a measurement strategy for business expansion. This plan will cover our events strategy, conversion campaign plan, and partner integrations across the NAMER business, with a specific focus on Growth targets and categories.
  • Partner directly with new business BD team to drive acquisition goals and apply a performance mindset to marketing’s partnership with BD. Act with urgency to deliver new business value and think outside of the box for how we can accomplish our ambitious growth goals.
  • Responsible for prospecting events strategy, getting TTD BD “hunters” into the right rooms and conferences to meet new contacts.
  • Own the NAMER webinar strategy from planning through execution and measurement, finding creative content angles across product launches, research, and category-specific themes to engage new and existing clients.
  • Lead Salesforce workflows that connect Commercial teams with new business opportunities, specifically the hand-off of MQLs. Develop standardized communications with clear insights about lead source, direction for BD, and next steps to build regular Salesforce habits across teams. Partner with internal teams on trainings and process to streamline Salesforce collaboration.
  • Manage the creation and active maintenance of Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) for our key audiences.
  • Develop regular, templatized reporting on progress towards company acquisition goals, in partnership with Marketing Analytics team.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including but not limited to Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, Editorial, Business Development, Marketing Operations, Analytics, Revenue Operations, and Commercial Training.
  • Serve as a connector across PR, Events, and Creative teams to amplify Performance Marketing efforts where relevant.
  • Contribute to the wider Marketing team’s culture of innovation, creativity, bias towards action, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, performance marketing, or related roles, ideally with exposure to the ad tech, media, or data partnership ecosystems.
  • You’re a strategic storyteller who can translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives tailored for diverse audiences.
  • You bring a strong balance of analytical, creative, and operational thinking.
  • You’re comfortable designing structure within uncertainty, building clarity and process where there hasn’t been before.
  • You have a collaborative mindset and thrive in cross-functional environments.
  • You have a history of building effective collaborative relationships with senior BD counterparts.
  • You’re comfortable managing multiple projects and workstreams with a high level of autonomy and ownership.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$77,600$142,200 USD
