The Opportunity:

As our People Operations Coordinator, you will deliver quality customer service of the highest standard through the delivery of day-to-day People transactional activities across the employee lifecycle. This includes (but is not limited to) the creation of contracts of employment, onboarding new employees, employee record management, job changes, terminations, and reporting. As part of this role, you will be expected to develop close working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Tax, Finance, and the wider People team, as well as any key external stakeholders/vendors. 

This is a permanent full-time position and can be based in either Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.


Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to: 

  • Support continuous improvement with a customer service mindset. 

  • Deliver transactional processes across the employee lifecycle against metrics and SLAs. 

  • Manage level 0 and 1 employee queries, escalating them where appropriate.  

  • Support the use of Workday within KBR and identify and support the implementation of new features.  

  • Support activities for new system functionality and People initiatives.  

  • Ensure accurate employee data and record management, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity.  

  • Ensure process controls are adhered to, to achieve the required governance and compliance requirements.  

  • Support all pre-payroll administrative activities for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles when required.  

  • Develop & maintain relationships with key stakeholders (People & Culture, Finance, Tax, and external vendors) providing high levels of customer service. 

  • Other duties to help support the wider People Shared Services team as required. 

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline (desirable) 

  • Experience with Workday (preferred) 

  • Experience in a People function, preferably within a shared service or operational support environment.  

  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.  

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing tasks and stakeholder expectations.  

  • People systems experience and knowledge and intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft suite.  

  • Good relationship management and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to a customer service mindset.
