As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for payroll and payroll tax related compliance, employee tax setup. That includs Workday system calculations, employee tax jurisdiction maintenance, location maintenance, weekly audits, financial reporting, tax deposits and filings, and business registration by entity when required. This role will also be responsible for running payroll for our international employees. The role will be a key partner to the Payroll Manager in addressing complexities, monitoring third party vendors, and continuous process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for identifying and implementing corrective action(s) to minimize risk including validation of tax jurisdiction setup at both company and employee level
Complete business applications for new jurisdictions when required
Collaborate with third party vendor(s) to ensure payroll tax deposits are accurate, complete, and timely to agencies
Verify and apply tax updates/changes within core HRIS prior to final production of paychecks
Partner with other departments to ensure that all payroll wage and tax financial reporting is provided in a timely manner in support of filing and reporting requirements
Responsible for submission of the tax interface file to TPA (periodic/monthly/quarter/annual) and reconciliation/validation to Payroll and General Ledger
Manage all agency notices in partnership with the TPA and create ad hoc reports as requested for research projects
Responsible for annual W-2 audit and validation process as well as processing all W-2c’s as needed
Run monthly international payroll for 15 countries
Run weekly payroll for US and Canada based employees
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required
Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred
FCP or CPP preferred but not required
3 – 5 years of payroll processing experience required
Experience with Workday or comparable software preferred
Experience with ADP Smart Compliance preferred
