Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, plans the assignment of patients. Maintains and updates student and patient file databases. Verifies files for completion and accuracy. Compiles data and produces reports. Provides information and liaises with external organizations. Organizes student rotations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with reviewing patient applications for dental treatment in the Undergraduate Teaching Clinic.
Supports the scheduling of patients across all clinics and ensures timely communication of appointments.
Prepares and updates patient files, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
Assists Academic staff by organizing and providing patient files for scheduling of radiology or other required assessments.
Provides administrative support for student and instructor rotation schedules in Oral Diagnosis, Oral Surgery, Oral Facial Pain, and Emergency clinics.
Coordinates patient appointments related to implant cases in collaboration with GPR (General Practice Residency) when required.
Supports day-to-day operations at the main reception area, including greeting patients, answering inquiries, and directing them appropriately.
Assists in training new employees on clinic procedures and the use of AbelDent software.
Ensures proper documentation and compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
