POSITION SUMMARY:

The Parts Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory control, procurement activities, and stockroom operations to support the maintenance of passenger boarding bridges, baggage handling systems, and other airport equipment.  This role ensures accurate inventory data, timely procurement, effective vendor communication, and proactive planning to support operational readiness.  The Parts Supervisor also provides 24/7 support for urgent maintenance needs and works closely with leadership, technicians, and customers to maintain the highest levels of service and reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Management & Data Accuracy

  • Review daily sign-out sheets and enter part usage into HxGN EAM to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and create Purchase Orders to replenish used or low-stock items.
  • Track delivery status of all ordered parts and communicate updates to managers, supervisors, and customers for planning and scheduling purposes.
  • Analyze part usage trends and adjust Min/Max inventory levels as needed to support operational demands.
  • Plan proactively for seasonal spikes, particularly in environmental system components for Passenger Boarding Bridges.
  • Supervise semi-annual inventory verification for all contracted stockrooms.
  • Create detailed inventory reports for customers and leadership, supporting year-end capital planning and budget forecasting.

Procurement, Vendor Coordination & Problem Solving

  • Communicate regularly with vendors on order statuses, especially for parts approaching or past expected delivery dates.
  • Track high-priority procurements tied to major projects; provide timely delivery forecasts to management and customers.
  • Identify and source suitable replacements for obsolete parts still active within operational systems.
  • Research alternative suppliers or components as needed to meet operational requirements.

Communication, Planning & Cross-Functional Support

  • Provide parts availability data, lead times, and procurement forecasts to assist other supervisors with planning repair and replacement projects.
  • Communicate inventory trends, risk areas, high-usage patterns, and budget impacts to upper management and customers.
  • Support emergency and critical needs 24/7 via company-issued phone, text, or email.

Safety, Training & Quality Compliance

  • Comply with and support company safety, training, and quality assurance programs.
  • Perform and document safety inspections related to parts operations and stockroom activities.
  • Manage monthly employee training completion for personnel assigned to parts operations.
  • Conduct annual employee performance reviews for staff working in the parts function.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior supervisory experience required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage high-priority and time-sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and adjust stocking strategies proactively.
  • Understanding of inventory control, vendor management, and procurement workflows.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security credentials.
  • Ability to work varying shifts and be available for after-hours emergencies as required.
  • Experience supervising organized labor union team members preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, logistics, or related field; aviation or airport operations experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with HxGN EAM or other enterprise asset management systems preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.  Ability to work in airport ramp, warehouse, and stockroom environments, including exposures to varying temperatures, weather, and noise.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Good hand / eye coordination is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The primary work responsibilities will require work in office, stockroom, and airport operational environments, and includes exposures to aircraft, vehicles, moving machinery, and outdoor weather conditions.

Pay Range:

$63,500.00 - $101,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
