What’s the role about?

Reporting to the Head of Connected Living Australia, we are seeking a strategic Partnerships Manager based in New Zealand to drive mutual growth for Assurant and its key clients. The Partnerships Manager will create and manage a pipeline of new client opportunities for New Zealand’s Connected Living products and services, as well as being responsible for managing existing relationships and identifying and executing profitable revenue-generating initiatives.

The Partnership Manager will also be responsible for client relationship management, commercial reviews, and ensuring there are wide and deep relationships across all key stakeholders with the client head office and store network. This role will also:

  • Work closely with the ANZ leadership team to build a robust pipeline of potential new clients with win strategies delivering profitable revenue growth.
  • Responsible for the sustainable growth of current allocated active accounts by increasing profits year over year by continuously developing specific and actionable business development plans.
  • Partner with product and marketing teams to develop and manage customer strategies and define differentiated offerings to attract new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Manage relevant RFP processes, bid management and tender initiatives for New Zealand.    
  • Provide consumer, market, and competitor insights to wider leadership team to influence regional strategy.
  • Coordinate the various cross-functional roles associated with client program delivery throughout the company to ensure alignment on customer goals, systems, data, assumptions, and delivery timing.
  • Reporting, analysis and action planning with relevant functions for service delivery and ensuring that key SLA and KPIs are delivered

About you

  • 5+ account management/business development experience
  • Bachelor of Business or related degree
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-oriented
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic new business development strategies and business plans
  • Experience in sales or marketing and managing relationships with essential clients
  • Excellent commercial acumen including budget and financial management skills
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with management and key internal stakeholders
  • Excellent customer service supported by strong product knowledge, systems expertise, and understanding of business sectors
  • Collaborative, professional, and innovative approach with strong interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in influencing, negotiation, and effective communication
  • Strong networking and presentation capabilities
  • Experienced in working within heavily regulated environments
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
