The Legal division of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal. This position supports attorneys by conducting legal research on state and federal statutes, pending legislation, administrative regulations, regulatory guidance, NAIC proceedings, and case law, with a strong focus on tracking state legislation and maintaining 50-state charts for publication. This is a full-time hybrid position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City, Missouri office is required.

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Experience
Paralegal degree or certificate required.
0-3 years relevant work experience.
Systems & Technology Requirements
Microsoft Office Suite, Westlaw, Nexus and NILS
Schedule: Hybrid
While this position qualifies for a hybrid schedule, you may be required to come into the office for a minimum of one day each week plus for ongoing meetings, events or training. NAIC Executive approval must be granted if residing outside of a 100-mile radius from Kansas City, New York, or Washington DC.
Travel Requirements
This position does not require overnight business travel. Employees are responsible for their personal transportation to/from the home and office, including events, meetings, and training required by the NAIC.
Compensation
$25.29 - 30.76/hr, commensurate with education and experience.
