Job Description :
The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority. Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.
Page Six is one of the most iconic brands in entertainment and pop culture journalism – witty, authoritative and fearless – and we’re now looking for an editorial leader to take it to the next level. As Page Six Editor (temporary), you’ll oversee all things entertainment across platforms, from breaking celebrity news and red carpet coverage to longer-form exclusives and building franchises. This is a role for someone who not only has a proven track record in entertainment, media and celebrity journalism, but also knows how to strategically grow a brand, organize and mentor talent, represent the brand to commercial clients, the industry and the audience all while driving editorial impact across both digital and print.
You should bring big ideas, strong editorial instincts, a powerful network of sources, and a sharp sense of how our coverage can resonate across platforms.
Please note: the shift for this role is Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm EST. This is a temporary role with an expected duration of three months.
Responsibilities:
● Lead the editorial vision for entertainment and pop culture coverage, ensuring it reflects the voice, authority, and ambition of the Page Six brand
● Ability to break major, national exclusives
● Partner with design, video, and audience teams to develop standout content packages and event coverage that engage readers and viewers
● Collaborate closely with the business side on brand strategy, growth opportunities, and editorial extensions that drive audience and revenue
● Use audience insights and analytics to guide strategy, track performance, and optimize content without sacrificing voice or editorial quality
● Serve as a cross-functional leader and brand representative in high-level meetings, working with stakeholders across editorial, product, social, SEO, and ad teams
Requirements:
● 5+ years in an editorial leadership role
● A robust network of contacts at all levels of the entertainment world
● A deep understanding of the entertainment landscape, from Hollywood power players and celebrity culture to emerging trends and media shifts
● Strong experience building and evolving editorial brands across digital, print, video, and social
● A clear editorial voice and sharp instinct for what makes a Page Six story land ● Track record of managing teams, developing talent, and driving results under tight deadlines
● Ability to think commercially and creatively at once — balancing sharp journalism with business goals
● Comfort in using data and performance metrics to inform strategy
● Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with business, audience development, and design teams
● A true leader who is energized by building something great and understands the value of speed and editorial impact
