About the role

The Packaging Lead Operator serves as the operational technical expert for the packaging department, ensuring equipment performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role supports day-to-day operations, leads investigations and training, and drives excellence in packaging processes through hands-on leadership and collaboration.

Role Responsibilities

Comply with and support the Haleon Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Ensure quality and compliance in accordance with established procedures and standards of the Quality System.
Review SOPs for the packaging department.
Participate in all deviation rapid responses on the floor.
Lead deviation and root cause analysis.
Operate packaging equipment.
Act as Line Leader during absences or as needed.
Ensure packaging equipment is running according to daily schedule.
Drive changeovers and line clearances.
SAP functions-Batch reconciliation, Cycle Count, Material Movements, Confirmation and Inventory control.
Lead training as needed for packaging operators/OJTs, SOP, etc.
Participate and lead in continuous improvement efforts, 5s initiatives.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED is required
A Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a production environment, leading a team or project is required.

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and succeed in a team environment.
Ability to lift 5-25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift drums, bags and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
Team oriented and flexible, able to adapt to changing assignments.
Highly motivated and self-driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set. Able to function productively with minimal supervision.
Good organizational skills and interest in project management.
Ability to operate computer applications to include SAP functions, etc.
Highly attentive to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and operations.
Ability to operate work saver, stand-up, and sit-down fork truck

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree or Technical education preferred

Location : This role is based in: St Louis, MO. This is not a remote role

Shift: 8pm-6:30am Mon-Fri
