Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.

Our remit covers Record to Report (R2R), Purchase to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash(O2C), tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.

This role holder reports to the GFS P2P Operations Project Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Support P2P Operations Project Manager in advancing the P2P Digital Center of Excellence (CoE)’s digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives   

  • Evaluate the technical viability of proposed digital innovation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational capabilities in terms of technology and resource allocation to support the project.

  • Provide expert project management for digital initiatives, including plan development, resource allocation, and adherence to established Project Management & LEAN methodologies

  • Proactively identify and tracking key Risks, Actions, Incidences and Dependencies (RAID) to ensure timely resolution and minimize disruption to project timelines and objectives.

  • Deliver comprehensive project reporting and facilitate effective communication with the P2P Digital CoE Board of Committees, ensuring transparency and timely updates.

  • Work collaboratively with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure digital projects are implemented effectively. 

  • Be the escalation point of issue related to digital for P2P Digital CoE.

  • Support P2P Operations Project Managers in operating the P2P Digital CoE Project Management office including maintaining project documentations, provide administrative support, assist in data analysis, and ensure effective communications within the team.

  • Support P2P Operations Project Manager to review and revise practices to ensure their compliance with established statutory requirements, policies, and procedures.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • Degree in Data Science or Data Analytics, or Business Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent professional qualification. 

  • Possess at least 2 years of work experiences related to implementing digital solutions.

  • Proven hands-on digital knowledge and practical experience with tools such as Python, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, VBA and other related automation or data analysis platforms.

  • Knowledge and experience in SAP, Coupa, Kofax or Celonis would be an added advantage. 

  • Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written). 

  • Good interpersonal skill.

  • Working experience in a shared service centre across a global /large organization will be an added advantage. 

  • Inquisitive, investigative with critical thinking and good problem-solving skills. 

  • May need to work globally across time zones and cultures.
