Create value through integrating between Rolls-Royce Defence Programme teams and the Maintenance and Overhaul team, with special focus technical project management to deliver on business requirements

In this role, you will be required to:

  • Lead and support Product Safety through the delivery of high-quality Maintenance methods and Technical Publications, tooling, and facility sustainment.
  • Successful Program Delivery: Leads and manages multiple projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, high-quality delivery exceeding stakeholder expectations.
  • Strategic Alignment of Projects: Ensures all projects are strategically aligned with the overall team objectives and contribute to the achievement of the Methods and Technical Publications Digital, Systems & Tools Transformation.
  • Effective Program Governance: Establishes and maintains a robust governance framework ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and promoting transparency and accountability.
  • Proactive Risk Management: Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks across the Methods & Technical Publications Project portfolio, minimizing disruptions and ensuring program success.
  • Enhanced Stakeholder Engagement: Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on program priorities and progress.
  • Adherence to Compliance: Utilizes a risk-based approach to develop and implement Methods & Technical Publications specific capabilities to ensure regulator and customer compliance satisfaction.
  • Strategy Delivery: Consolidating Do/Buy and outsourcing strategies for Methods & Technical Publications through collaboration with the Capability on behalf of the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM subject and/or have experience in a relevant engineering environment (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical or Controls).
  • An ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters to varying timelines and with internal and external customers.
  • Familiarity with the use and creation of technical publications such as maintenance manuals and illustrated parts catalogues.
  • Domain knowledge across Methods & Technical Publications
  • Understanding of Product Change Control including Product Change Board (PCB); Design Definition Review Audit Meeting (DDRAM)
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders, including executives and business leaders.
  • Risk management: The ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the project across multiple delivery lines within the Methods & Technical Publications Team.
  • Leadership and teamwork: Strong leadership skills to direct cross-functional teams and collaborate with other business units, including IT, security, and external partners or suppliers
  • Problem-solving: Critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve complex, ambiguous issues that arise during compliance efforts along with the ability to influence others through reasoned discussion and clear articulation.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous organizational skills to manage schedules, documentation, and reporting for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Professional development: Ideally a member of a professional body or working to achieve appropriate level of qualification.
