Join our compassionate OBGYN care team at OhioHealth’s Grant Outpatient Care Center as a Registered Nurse supporting surgery scheduling and patient triage. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted resource for patients and Providers to coordinate surgical cases, ensure all preoperative requirements are met, and provide timely, professional triage support to guide patients through their next steps in care.
The RN Surgery Scheduler and Triage Nurse plays a vital role in bridging clinic and surgical services for the OBGYN specialty. Responsibilities include coordinating surgical scheduling with Providers, obtaining prior authorizations, preparing documentation, and serving as the clinical point of contact for patient questions and follow-up. This position offers a dynamic mix of administrative coordination and patient interaction, supporting a steady outpatient caseload while contributing to high-quality, seamless care delivery.

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings.
The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients.
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.
This position is vital to the clinical efficiency of the department in that it supports all Medical Education specialty clinics for Grant Outpatient Care Center. Workflow tasks include surgery schedule, pre-op and post-op education, Prior authorizations, prenatal risk assessments, rooming patients, incoming referral and outing referral coordinator, managing resident orders and requests, scanning, NST's and medical records. OB/GYN, Geriatric Medicine, and Addiction Medicine experience is preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities And Duties:

Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
30% Outcomes Identification/Planning
Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
20% Implementation/Evaluation
Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
10% Leadership
- Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
