Scope of Position

This motivated, detail-oriented self-starter individual with ability to follow established work procedures while providing sales support to customers in any capacity required. Skilled in coordinating order processing and communication between sales and other departments to ensure accuracy, efficiency and timely delivery. Dedicated to resolving customer issues promptly.

This position reports to the Inside Sales and Order Entry Supervisor. This role is initially onsite but will transition to hybrid (3 days in office and two working from home) and is based in Fort Worth, TX.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide internal sales support for assigned territories to achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Serve as liaison between sales and other departments to ensure efficient communication and workflow.
  • Partner with regional managers and field sales teams to resolve customer issues, provide training support, and maintain strong relationships with representatives, engineers, and contractors.
  • Coordinate custom product requests, including design (CEDR), costing, drawings, and submittal requirements.
  • Manage and track special/custom quote files and maintain current competitive product knowledge.
  • Promote Watts brands positively through professional interactions and on-site product demonstrations or lab tours as required.
  • Resolve shipment, billing, and order discrepancies promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update sales training materials and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide coverage for inside sales communications (voicemail and email) as needed.
  • Utilize and manage spreadsheets for reporting and data tracking.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Sales Manager.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor, Sales Manager, or Company management.

  • Travel Requirements: none to rarely.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or some college level courses.
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience, or equivalent
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
  • Communication skills, well organized, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Someone reliable and punctual.

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the Watts Fort Worth location three days per week (Monday – Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
