Operations Trainee- Guest & Staff Experience

The Operations Trainee supports key initiatives across both Staff Experience and Guest Experience at Truist Park. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality, event operations, and creating memorable experiences for both staff and guests. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in program coordination, communication, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to the Atlanta Braves’ commitment to operational excellence.

The Operations Department supports the day-to-day functions of Event Operations, Truist Park Meetings & Events, Ballpark Tours & Hall of Fame, and serves as a liaison to our food & beverage partner. The team also leads strategic projects focused on enhancing staff and guest experiences through thoughtful planning, training, recognition, and communication. The department fosters a culture of excellence, empowerment, and continuous improvement.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Assist with Gameday Leadership Team subcommittee initiatives, including:
    • Orientation & training
    • Development & engagement
    • Recognition programs
    • Policies & procedures
    • Supervisor program support
  • Support the Gameday Staff Store operations, including inventory and logistics
  • Support Gameday Staffing & Administration team with key initiatives.
  • Assist with Guest Experience Case tracking and resolution
  • Contribute to Guest Experience Committee initiatives, such as:
    • Voice of Consumer (VOC) & Fan Feedback Surveys
    • Secret Shopper Program
    • Ballpark optimization projects
  • Respond to fan mail & inquiries via email, phone, and in person
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals

TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Customer service oriented

  • Excellent executive presence

  • Must complete a background check

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership potential
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, self-starting attitude
  • Must successfully pass a background check
