The Role
Our Crestmead dairy site near Logan, south of Brisbane, manufactures and distributes a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from 35 dairy farms in the south-east Queensland region. Producing around 100 million litres of product per year!
The Operations Technician is a frontline expert who supports Production and Engineering teams in meeting operational goals efficiently and in accordance with corporate policies. This role provides leadership and coaching to site operators, drives continuous improvement, and offers opportunities to develop cross-functional skills while enhancing overall site performance.
Responsibilities
Lead and support preventative maintenance, including mechanical servicing and coordinating contractors
Operate a variety of equipment in lab, processing, and production settings
Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to help identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Carry out quality assurance activities, including sampling, GMP and CIP audits
Assist with VAT planning and control room testing
About you
Mechanical aptitude – no formal qualifications required
A growth mindset and strong communication skills
High level of accountability across multiple areas
Basic computer literacy
Experience in FMCG manufacturing or a related field (preferred but not essential)
