The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Operations Support Associate to join our HUB Canada West team in Chilliwack or Victoria. Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining effective and efficient operations, with a strong focus on accounting and finance-related activities. You’ll be responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliations of Personal Lines and Auto commissions and incentives, as well as resolving commission-related issues that impact employee compensation and regional revenue. Acting as a central liaison between operations, payroll, HR and external carriers, the Operations Support Associate collaborates with management and finance teams to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and implement solutions that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational performance of the region.

Accounting background (e.g. accounts payable) and working knowledge of EPIC is an asset.
A Day in the Life
Commission and Incentive Reconciliation & Processing
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of commissions and incentives for eligible Personal Lines and Auto employees.
Identify and resolve discrepancies impacting employee compensation or regional revenue.
Act as a key liaison between operations, payroll, HR, and external carriers.
Analytical Reporting
Generate and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly transactional reports.
Ensure reports are accurate and completed within payroll timelines.
Provide insights and recommendations to support operational improvements.
Discrepancy Resolution
Investigate and resolve complex transactional discrepancies across all lines of business.
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify issues and recommend solutions.
Partner with internal Credit Teams on AR and payment options.
Communicate and collaborate with the HUB Financial Center (HFC accounting department).
Support Retail and Wholesale Teams
Provide operational support to various departments and teams.
Contribute ideas and apply critical thinking to enhance workflows.
Propose actionable solutions to close gaps and prevent future errors.
Assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Support troubleshooting efforts related to operational and billing issues.
Salary Expectations
The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
