Role Description
The Operations Senior Lead is vital to supporting reference data provisioning for regulatory reporting.
- This role involves executing daily data aggregation for 'party' records, providing comprehensive data quality controls, and ensuring meticulous process documentation.
- It provide support to regulatory reporting team, act as a primary stakeholder contact for issue resolution, and continuously drive process improvements for data accuracy and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities
- Execute daily data aggregation processes for diverse 'party' data, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of unified datasets to reporting teams, adhering strictly to defined SLAs.
- Rigorously implement and execute comprehensive data quality checks, validation rules, and control procedures on all incoming and aggregated party data to identify errors.
- Develop and maintain robust control reports and dashboards to proactively monitor data quality metrics, ensuring continuous oversight of data integrity.
- Investigate and diagnose root causes of data discrepancies, quality issues, or aggregation failures within party records, tracking issues and their impact diligently.
- Collaborate closely with source system owners and IT to drive resolution of identified data defects at their origin, ensuring systemic and preventative fixes are implemented.
- Maintain and update detailed operational runbooks, process documentation, and data lineage, ensuring strict compliance with banking policies and regulatory standards like AML/KYC.
- Act as a primary point of contact, providing clarification, issue updates, and communicating data quality status, risks, and remediation progress to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to existing data aggregation processes, tools, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability for the team.
Your skills and experience
Domain Skills
- Over 10 years in Financial Services, with 5+ years specializing in Reference Data management, demonstrating strong execution capability.
- Proven leadership of teams (4+ years), skilled in performance management, annual feedback, and fostering team development and motivation.
- Deep understanding of diverse banking product data (deposits, loans, cards) and their intricate relationships with customer and account party records.
- Expertise in critical banking reference data including currency codes, LEIs, and branch codes, vital for accurate data aggregation and reporting.
- Strong awareness of financial services data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for sensitive party data handling and compliance.
- Basic understanding of key financial reporting requirements (Basel III, IFRS, CCAR) and how aggregated party data feeds into these crucial submissions.
- Ability to identify and assess data-related risks (quality, security, regulatory non-compliance) impacting financial reporting and critical submissions.
- Familiarity with internal audit requirements, data governance frameworks, and operational risk controls essential for a regulated banking environment.
- Proficient in creating impactful MI Reporting using advanced Excel functions and developing data visualizations with tools like Tableau or Python.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of breaking down complex situations into easy-to-understand components for effective resolution.
- Proven ability to foster trust, encourage open communication, and collaborate effectively with diverse global and matrixed virtual teams.
- Proven track record in data management roles within financial services, demonstrating execution capability and defining data solution outcomes.
- Highly motivated and proactive, demonstrating strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders and drive outcomes.
Communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills across various seniority levels
- Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels - onshore & remote
- Ability to visualise complex topics to converse with stakeholders.
Technical skills
- Expert at data identification, validation, correction and reconciliation.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is a must

- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Flexibility to handle multiple parallel projects / engagements
- Ability and interest to adopt to new requirements and new data domains (e.g. switching from a Party reference to a Credit Risk requirement)
