SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementing and coordinating the strategic plan for manufacturing and shipment of products to meet customer expectations. This role involves strategic planning, managing daily operations, and coordinating with various departments to achieve the company's production goals.

REPORTS TO (Title): Site Lead, Hurst        

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic manufacturing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations, including production and planning.
  • Implement lean manufacturing methods to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, identify issues, and implement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, engineering, and finance to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Manage a team of manufacturing staff, including hiring, training, and professional development.
  • Review and manage budgets and resources.
  • Report on operational performance.
  • Promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and improve processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with JD Edwards and Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
