POSITION OVERVIEW:
Insomnia Cookies is looking for an Operations Insights Manager, a hands-on analytics leader who will dig into the dough of our day-to-day operations and surface insights that make our stores run smoother, faster, and more profitably.

You’ll own everything from performance dashboards to labor forecasting to delivery metrics, helping ensure our bakeries operate like a well-oiled, warm-cookie machine. This is a high-impact, individual-contributor role where you’re both the architect and the analyst—building the models, finding the insights, and influencing the decision-making that shapes operational excellence across hundreds of stores.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Performance Analytics
•Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance across sales, labor, delivery, product mix, waste/shrink, and operational KPIs.
•Identify risk areas and opportunities across stores, regions, delivery zones, and operational processes.
•Develop forecasting tools and models for labor planning, staffing, inventory needs, and delivery demand.

Delivery, Speed, Service & Efficiency Insights
•Own analytics related to delivery times, delivery radius optimization, batching efficiency, and courier performance.
•Provide insight into in-store operations such as production planning, throughput, speed of service, and customer experience metrics.
•Partner with Operations leadership to test enhancements and quantify improvements.

Tools, Dashboards & Data Infrastructure
•Build and maintain operational dashboards for field leaders, store managers, and corporate teams—ensuring clarity, accuracy, and useful storytelling.
•Improve data infrastructure for operational analytics in partnership with Digital/Engineering.
•Conduct deep-dive analyses for performance issues (e.g., underperforming stores, long delivery times, labor overages).

Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Work closely with functional partners to support initiatives and pilots.
•Provide analytical input into new tools, technologies, operational programs, and process rollouts.
•Support the Operations team in business reviews, planning cycles, and KPI measurement.

Operational Strategy & Leadership
•Bring a data-driven POV to improve store operations, delivery networks, production workflows, labor efficiency, and customer experience.
•Translate complex data into simple, actionable recommendations that help leaders drive meaningful change.
•Help build a culture of operational excellence by equipping teams with the insights they need to succeed.

Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study
•5 years of experience in operations analytics, retail/restaurant analytics, or similar performance-focused roles.
•Advanced SQL + strong Excel/Sheets skills; experience with Looker/Tableau/PowerBI.
•Experience with POS data, labor systems, scheduling tools, delivery logistics, or supply/demand forecasting.
•Excellent root-cause analysis ability and a passion for problem-solving.
•Strong communicator with the ability to influence both field
