As part of the itslearning Operations Team, you will play a central role in modernizing our AWS platform. You will work to standardize and automate core infrastructure, improve reliability and observability, and contribute to the transition to a cloud-based, modern platform.

itslearning has already migrated its services to Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are now entering the next phase, aiming to build a fully cloud-native platform with automated operations using Infrastructure as Code and Terraform. You will be a key member of the team driving automation, reliability, and cost efficiency across our environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Infrasturcture-as-Code AWS infrastructure (network, compute, storage, observability, security)
  • Provisioning automation, configuration and change management
  • Further develop the platform towards cloud-native/container-based hosting in collaboration with product and development teams
  • Implement best practices for AWS architecture (Identity access management, security controls)
  • Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis
  • Document patterns and guide colleagues to simplify, standardise and automate platform operations

Formal Qualifications

  • Solid experience (at least 3 years) with Terraform on AWS
  • Expertise in infrastructure automation and establishing standards
  • Good understanding of AWS (network, compute/container, storage, observability)
  • Operational experience of incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Ability for clear technical communication and documentation
  • Professional fluency in English, written as well as verbal
