The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services (ES) Infrastructure Workplace Services:

RTX has an opening for an Operations Engineer Manager – ITMS Frameworks/ITIL (Manager, Infrastructure Workplace Services) Position.

We are seeking experienced IT Operations and Disaster Recovery Lead to support our large‑scale S4HANA landscape and its supporting applications. This role will sustain IT operations through ServiceNow and ITSM practices, manage relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and suppliers, and ensure the resilience of our Azure‑based infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) planning, conduct yearly DR/BC tests, and drive operational governance to maintain high service performance, security, and compliance across hybrid environments.

What You Will Do:

  • Support and maintain large scale S4HANA and supporting applications, particularly in collaboration with MSPs or through RISE with SAP
  • Sustain IT operations using ServiceNow and ITSM practices, ensuring smooth service delivery and governance
  • Own vendor relationships, tracking SLAs, KPIs, and driving accountability across managed service providers
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system processes, procedures, and IT governance standards
  • Monitor and report service performance, DR readiness, and risk posture to leadership, driving continual improvement
  • Monitor and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), including Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Design, maintain, and execute disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans across hybrid environments
  • Facilitate and conduct yearly DR/BC tests with vendors and stakeholders, ensuring readiness and resilience.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience with ServiceNow and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and testing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) plans in hybrid/cloud environments

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • IT Operations experience, overseeing infrastructure, service management
  • Vendor management experience, with a proven track record of holding third‑party providers accountable
  • Experience in Azure cloud environments and IT operations, with a focus on governance, vendor management, and resilience
  • Knowledge of backup, restore, recovery, and high availability strategies in hybrid/cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity/access management (IAM)

Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
