Schedule: Rotating Shift (based on Operating Room schedule)

About the Role

The Operating Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring that surgical operations run smoothly and safely. This position supports the perioperative team by maintaining a clean and organized surgical environment, transporting patients, preparing operating rooms before and after procedures, and assisting with the delivery and setup of surgical equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clean operating rooms before and after surgical procedures

  • Transport patients safely to and from the operating room as directed

  • Assist with moving and positioning patients as needed under the supervision of clinical staff

  • Deliver and stock sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for upcoming procedures

  • Maintain infection control standards and adhere to hospital safety protocols

  • Collaborate closely with surgical and nursing staff to support smooth workflow and timely procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Previous hospital or surgical support experience preferred

  • Ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment safely

  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
