The position is responsible for evaluating insurance applications and assessing risk to determine appropriate coverage levels. This role involves working closely with senior underwriters and other colleagues to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and company policies.
Position Responsibilities:
Review and assess insurance applications for HNW protection products and large premium saving products, ensuring compliance with company underwriting guidelines.
Analyze medical records, financial documents, and other relevant information to determine risk classification.
Collaborate with senior underwriters to make informed underwriting decisions.
Communicate with agents and brokers to gather additional information and clarify application details.
Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and ensure documentation is complete.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in life and health insurance.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in underwriting software and tools.
