Please note: This is a Part Time hybrid role in our NYC office, supporting both in-office and remote/hybrid team members. With Occasional travel to Rocket Money offices for onboarding, engagement programs, events, site audits, and office coordinator coaching (frequency based on business needs).

ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹‍♀️

The NYC Office and Event Coordinator keeps Rocket Money’s NYC hub running smoothly and brings our in‑office experience to life. You’ll be the on‑site point of contact for vendors, visitors, and team members. You’ll run the play for daily office operations and support social programming, our weekly Team Tuesday and seasonal events, and support employees who are traveling into town. This role blends hands‑on execution with clear communication and thoughtful prioritization to deliver a consistently great team member experience.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

  • Manage on-site NYC office operations: restock snacks, beverages, and supplies; keep common areas organized; maintain a comfortable, safe environment within budget.
  • Serve as our NY Social Captain: execute monthly happy hours and quarterly events with clear run-of-show, stakeholder communications, and post-event retrospectives.
  • Coordinate Team Tuesday programming with People Operations, supporting the broadcast of company-wide events and activities that connect on-site and remote team members.
  • Provide onsite support to teams traveling into hubs across the US, including venue and vendor coordination, scheduling, materials, staffing, and onsite execution, on time and on budget.
  • Identify and implement office aesthetic and organizational upgrades that reinforce brand and culture, documenting SOPs and checklists for repeatability.
  • Coordinate vendors and logistics, manage deliveries and shipments, and serve as the first point of contact for building communications, visitors, and service providers.
  • Order daily lunches for days in office, accommodating dietary needs and adjusting menus based on feedback.
  • Additional ad hoc support for engagement initiatives for our hybrid workforce

ABOUT YOU 🦄

  • 2+ years in office coordination, hospitality, events, workplace experience, or similar on‑site operations role
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute across multiple concurrent tasks with clear SLAs
  • Vendor coordination and basic budgeting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a service mindset
  • Comfortable lifting, moving, and setting up light equipment and event supplies as needed
  • Experience building simple SOPs or checklists to make processes repeatable
  • Tools: Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion or similar workplace tools
  • On‑site availability in NYC for 24 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

Additional information: Salary range of $40/hour . Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skill, and experience.
