Job Description

Position Title: OEM Sales Representative

This position will have a direct influence on our goal of promoting global health by offering Life Science Solutions group innovations to diagnostic and pharmaceutical clients for the production of their products.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement strategies that align with the global business unit’s strategy.

  • Evaluate new business prospects in South Korea (SK) to sell Company products to diagnostics and pharmaceutical clients on a commercial basis.

  • Make sales visits to all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made.

  • Develop and implement highly efficient account penetration strategies for existing territory and identify new prospective customers

  • Cultivate client relationships across various functions (R&D, production, procurement, business development, quality, regulatory affairs) and levels.

  • Actively participate, and may lead, cross-functional teams to implement client opportunities that involve legal, licensing, manufacturing, QA, marketing, R&D, etc.

  • Create pricing proposals for large, intricate, frequently multi-year deals and contracts. Formulate well-founded assessments of value for the customer to base pricing proposals on uniquely tailored products, for which simple comparisons are often lacking. Handle negotiations for other terms and conditions.

  • Coordinates technical support to determine client needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely fashion. Investigates product issues and ensures satisfactory resolution of customer complaints.

  • Participates with other team members to develop business plans and objectives across the product and technology portfolios of the company.

  • Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

Technical Excellence:

  • Has advanced knowledge of molecular, cell and or protein biology

  • Has strong working knowledge of the sales process (lead generation, quoting, revenue recognition) as well as highly proficient in forecast management

  • Has knowledge of IVD and or pharma regulations, manufacturing quality standards

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in biology or equivalent

  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

  • Requires 5+ years of business development experiences in life science and or diagnostic industry

  • Requires experiences in negotiation of supply agreements and sales funnel management

  • People management experience preferred

Working Conditions:

Able to travel ~80%

This position is for a proactive individual contributor who will lead the SK Commercial Supply Sales business.
