Job Description:
- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides health care services using radioisotopes to assist in diagnosis of cardiac specific pathologies.
- Performs Nuclear Medicine related procedures specific to MPI, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for the interpretation by a cardiologist.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
- Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of an education program in Nuclear Medicine.
- Current license with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) N or certificate with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- Current Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry required. PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours of clinical experience.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
