Job Description:
A Network Monitoring Analyst is responsible for ensuring the health, performance, and reliability of an organization’s network infrastructure. This role involves continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems to minimize downtime and maintain seamless connectivity.
· Monitor Network Performance: Use specialized tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Kibana, PRTG) to track network traffic, bandwidth usage, and device health.
· Incident Detection & Response: Identify and diagnose network issues such as latency, outages, or security breaches; escalate as needed.
· Troubleshooting: Resolve connectivity problems and performance bottlenecks promptly to minimize service disruption.
· Reporting & Documentation: Generate detailed reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions for management review.
· Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure a robust IT infrastructure.
· Compliance & Security: Ensure monitoring practices align with organizational security policies and standards.
· Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching).
· Familiarity with Windows or Linux operating systems.
· Eagerness to learn network monitoring tools and technologies.
· Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and willingness to work in a team environment.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
