NETWORK ENGINEER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of NETCOM. You will play a crucial role in providing engineering solutions and support to improve network performance, defense, and security for the Department of Defense Information Network-Army (DoDIN-A) Enterprise.
● Lead/Manage/Support the design and development of critical voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks to ensure robust availability and security for the mission
● Collaborate with operational organizations and cross-functional teams to implement Request for Changes (RFCs) and maintain Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliance
● Drive network enhancements and innovative technical solutions by applying the engineering design process to solve complex performance and security challenges
● Utilize industry-leading technologies to monitor network integrity, configure essential network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and ensure NetOps capability integration

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 2+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Experience with network configuration (routers, switches, firewalls), VPN Concentrators, Microsoft enterprise products, and NetOps tools.
● Security clearance level: Secret
● Role requirements: Security+ and CCNA required

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
