We have a strong value proposition in our Print and PS services business today and we continue to leverage learnings from across the portfolio to drive growth of the existing business and bring new services to market.
Job Summary
The Consumer Subscription Services team is seeking a Business Development Specialist to accelerate subscription growth with our top retail partners in North America. This role will focus on US Retail partner engagement, helping sell-in these services and ensuring the partners are set up to successfully deliver on their subscriber, revenue and operating plan metrics. You will collaborate daily with cross-functional teams inside HP to develop and implement business plans and growth strategies, ensuring seamless execution while monitoring KPIs and sales performance. You will need to be able to speak to the partners in their language, convey the partner value proposition and keep them engaged as we work collectively to grow this strategic business. The role demonstrates a deep understanding of product categories and acts as an expert in providing directions and guidance to key HP stakeholders and our Retail partners.
Responsibilities
• Self-manages development and successful execution of account business plan and strategies in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Category and Omnichannel teams to drive growth and profitability with limited oversight from their manager.
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges and strategies.
• Proven ability to work effectively with and influence top US Retail partners. Understands how retail works, what is important to partners’ and can find opportunities for HP to succeed in this context.
• Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales performance to identify areas for improvement and develops action plans accordingly.
• Gathers and analyzes customer feedback and data to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points, and translates insights into actionable improvements.
• Able to apply knowledge of online and in-store shopper journey and work with key stakeholders in Omnichannel and Shopper Marketing to continually improve results.
• Oversees functional responsibilities in one or several areas such as market analysis, marketing engagement, omnichannel execution, business planning, and operations, etc.
• Innovative thinker able to find creative solutions as issues arise. Embraces challenging situations and enjoys overcoming adversity.
• Able to go from strategic thinking to detailed execution while always meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication and executive level presentation skills
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in sales, retail, business development, category management, P&L management, or a related field.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $112,600 to $163,300 annually, with a 80/20 (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
