Job Title: Multi Drop Driver
Location: Stoke, ST7 1UH
Shift Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour in addition to benefits listed below
This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally.
Summary:
This role is a multi-drop delivery driver role and the person will be responsible for delivering company products to the customer in a safe and timely manner. You’ll be a representative of the company and be one of the first point of contacts for our customers, so a high standard of customer care must be maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
Deliver goods accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with daily driving schedules to registered premises only obtaining proof of delivery at all manned premises.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle roadworthiness.
Record and report all vehicle defects in a timely manner inc. nil defects.
Meet all legal requirements of the use of the highways. Comply with all EU, Domestic and WTD (Working Time Directive) rules.
Act as an ‘Ambassador’ for the company when dealing with both customers and the public.
Record and report all damages in accordance with company policy.
Follows company policy and procedure regarding the correct, safe and accurate return of damaged goods from customers
Adhere to all company guidance and instructions in relation to the delivery and return of goods supplied by the company.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness with company vehicles to project a professional image.
Adhere to company standards regarding work wear and PPE.
Adhere to all H&S requirements in order to protect themselves, their colleagues and members of the public.
Correctly use all equipment supplied and maintain in a good condition. Report any faults or issues with equipment in a timely manner e.g. Sack Truck, Nomad Boxes, Temperature Recording Equipment, PPE etc.
Take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the vehicle and its contents ensuring vehicles are locked when unattended.
Only allow as passenger’s employees of the company or persons authorised by the company.
Comply with all GDP requirements.
Attend all required company training including My Hr Portal as and when required.
Maintain strong links with both the Transport and Customer Service Departments.
Remain contactable, when at work, by ensuring the company provided phone is on and connected to ‘Bluetooth’.
Be flexible and react positively to changes within the business.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities and ensure start times are adhered to.
Follow company procedure for times of absence.
Follow company employment policy.
Ensure both Domestic, EU and WTD regulations are adhered to.
Requirements:
To deliver company products to the customer in a safe and timely manner.
To abide by the laws governing road and vehicle use.
To abide by all company guidelines and MHRA requirements in relation to the delivery of company products.
To maintain high standards of customer care.
To maintain high personal standards to project a professional image of the company.
To act as representative of the company
To follow all H&S requirements to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.
Drive like a professional – Good driving record and appropriate licence for the role
Maintaining concentration – Must be able to stay focused when driving and training for long periods.
Quality communication – There is a great deal of paperwork involved in training and driving. This must be accurate and timely.
Attention to detail – The little things make a big difference. Accurate and comprehensive record keeping is essential.
Customer care – The role requires you are not only the face of the business but of the department.
