KBR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a MQ-9 Sensor Operator (SO) in Patuxent River, MD, supporting UX-24 and the USMC MQ-9 MUX MALE program. The USMC MQ-9 MUX MALE program is part of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Unmanned Expeditionary (MUX) initiative, delivering a Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance (MALE) unmanned aircraft system based on the MQ-9A Reaper platform. Its mission is to provide persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), communications relay, electronic warfare, and maritime domain awareness, acting as a digitally interoperable “network bridge” for joint and naval forces in contested environments. This capability supports Force Design 2030 by enabling expeditionary advanced base operations and enhancing connectivity across sensors, platforms, and command networks in the Indo-Pacific and other operational theaters.
By joining KBR, you will be a part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization supporting both U.S. Government and Commercial Agencies. Our highly talented and experienced aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support at Patuxent River. As a long-term incumbent and leader in flight test, the selected applicant will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Basic Compensation: $86,000-$125,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
