Job Description

The Master Production Scheduling Manager for EMEA aligns with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) output and managing the execution of the master production schedule across Rockwell EMEA standard product plants. You will lead a team of master schedulers who:

  • Plan and establish production schedules
  • Monitor material inventory in the Global Rockwell Automation Distribution Center
  • Track production progress
  • Review factors affecting production schedules

The monthly master schedule guides the forecast for purchased materials. Establishing this schedule requires close collaboration with Demand Managers, Production Control Analysts, and Central Material Analysts to coordinate manufacturing plans that support our goals in customer service, capacity use, and inventory investment.

You will report to Global Supply Planning Manager- EMEA/AP

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of master production schedulers and provide global leadership to standardize processes across all master scheduling teams.
  • Ensure the Master Production Schedule team meets service and inventory goals aligned with the Materials Organization.
  • Oversee development of master schedules and rough-cut capacity plans derived from S&OP, structured into weekly capacity-constrained buckets.
  • Build relationships with Plant Managers, Production and Inventory Control Managers, and Regional Material Managers to integrate product strategy into manufacturing and supply plans.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain partners to improve, enhancing customer loyalty, reducing inventory entitlement, and increasing productivity.

Operational Focus Areas

  • Manage planned manufacturing orders to align weekly output with S&OP.
  • Work with Demand Managers to:
    • Determine product mix
    • Support material planning for new product introductions
    • Develop phase-out plans to minimize excess and obsolete inventory
  • Partner with Production Control Analysts and Manufacturing Engineers to manage short- and long-term capacities, reducing past due orders and overtime.
  • Coordinate manufacturing orders based on material and capacity availability.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and finance to understand scheduling impact on financials.
  • Provide monthly updated supply plans in units over an 18-month horizon.

Report Goals, and implement plant-specific improvement projects

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 8 years of experience manufacturing scheduling, forecasting, asset management, or shipment planning
  • Up to 25% travel (domestic and international)
  • APICS – CPIM certification
  • SAP experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience
  • Global business proficiency and cross-cultural collaboration skills
  • Broad knowledge in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, and Logistics
  • Collaboration across departments and responsibilities
