Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E’s programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. Job Description

THE ROLE: Motion Graphics Artist (Temporary)

3PPW 18 Month Freelance, non-exempt, remote

Schedule: M – F, 8.30 - 5P Eastern Time

We are seeking a highly skilled freelance Motion Graphics Artist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is a versatile designer who can craft visually engaging motion content across platforms, with added expertise in VFX and 3D. Success in this role means combining creative vision with technical mastery to produce standout work in a fast-moving production environment. Will report to Manager of Motion Graphics Operations.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop and execute high-quality, creatively driven motion graphics from concept through final delivery.

  • Deliver advanced VFX work, supporting seamless visual storytelling through compositing, tracking, rotoscoping, and other key techniques.

  • Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and other creatives to align vision, meet project requirements, and push creative boundaries.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing strong creative execution with efficient delivery under tight deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written form with teammates and partners, confidently participating in kickoff calls, creative reviews, and other meetings.

  • Maintain exceptional accuracy, consistency, and quality control across all projects with organized file management practices.

  • Adapt creative work for versioning across different formats and platform-specific requirements.

  • Proactively identify and implement creative solutions, embracing evolving technologies, and adjusting quickly to shifting priorities.

  • Be open to exploring AI tools as a means to fuel creativity and efficiency, in alignment with project goals.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Motion Designer in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong understanding of broadcast design principles and multi-platform content adaptation.

  • Provide a compelling demo reel that highlights both creative vision and technical expertise.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with strong working knowledge of Cinema 4D.

  • Advanced proficiency in VFX techniques, including compositing, rotoscoping, motion tracking, and related workflows.

  • Strong understanding of 3D design, with the ability to integrate 3D elements seamlessly into creative projects.

  • Deep understanding of the relationship between design, editing, and other creative disciplines is essential.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous eye for quality control.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently with minimal supervision.

  • Highly developed skills in typography, layout, and composition.

  • Knowledgeable of and actively experimenting with AI tools to support and enhance the design process.

  • Basic working knowledge of corporate communication tools (Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Global Media on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months. 

Compensation

Contract Hourly Pay Rate: $75.00
