The Opportunity

"

As a Modern Workplace Lead Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing the enterprise’s endpoint and user-access ecosystem. You will design and implement scalable, automation-driven security solutions across endpoint protection, secure remote access, mobile device security, email security, secure workplace technologies, and data loss prevention.

In this role, you will translate security strategies into engineering outcomes—building, hardening, and automating platforms such as Zscaler and leading XDR/EDR solutions including CrowdStrike and SentinelOne, while developing Infrastructure-as-Code modules that support consistent, high-velocity deployments.

You will work closely with Architecture and Operations teams, focusing on engineering excellence, automation, and the maturation of security technology platforms that protect the modern workforce and enable frictionless user productivity." - Director, Cyber Security

What You’ll Contribute

  • Own complex solutions end-to-end, anticipate technical challenges, and deliver high-quality outcomes through strong engineering execution and cross-team collaboration.
  • Engineer, deploy, and optimize enterprise Endpoint DLP (eDLP) policies and capabilities.
  • Provide engineering leadership for EDR/XDR platforms, including vendor assessments, PoCs, and selection for next-gen EDR/XDR solutions.
  • Lead engineering efforts across Email Security platforms, including policy design, threat protection tuning, automation, and integration with other security systems.
  • Drive enhancements in Secure Workplace Security, focusing on endpoint hardening, secure remote access, mobile device security, and user-centric protection controls.
  • Build and automate security solutions using Terraform; familiarity with Crossplane, CI/CD pipelines, and policy-as-code frameworks.
  • Lead Zscaler engineering initiatives, including automation, policy hardening, and platform optimization.
  • Architect scalable security solutions on AWS, integrating controls into development workflows via GitHub and CI/CD platforms.
  • Drive adoption of “Security as Code,” developing reusable modules, automation playbooks, and self-service deployment patterns.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Application Security teams to embed boundary protection into every layer of the software delivery lifecycle.

What We’re Seeking

  • 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with a strong emphasis on security automation, scripting, and workflow orchestration.

  • Strong understanding of Email Security technologies, threat protection mechanisms, and policy engineering.
  • Experience with SaaS Security, including configuration hardening, access governance, and security policy enforcement across SaaS platforms.
  • Foundational Network Security skills — firewalls, segmentation, routing, TCP/IP fundamentals, and secure access patterns.
  • An automation-first mindset, with proven experience building self-service tooling and scalable configuration management solutions.
