Meet the Team 

At the research team, we are working on the next generation technologies for our AD stack, as well as for its data generation and simulation methods. You contribute to our in-house research efforts and will be embedded in a team of world class researchers with a track record of scientific contributions in all relevant conferences. At the same time, you get the chance to do so as well – we are applying our research both internally as well as publishing regularly! 

State of the Art machine learning engineers for reinforcement learning for robotics behavior planning tasks. Understanding of robotics behaviors. Experience in developing, testing and analyzing machine learning projects for trajectory data. Experience in analyzing and developing machine learning architectures. Experience in supervised learning, imitation learning and reinforcement learning.

What You’ll Do 

  • Machine Learning architecture design for robotics behaviors applications 
  • Reinforcement Learning 
  • Simulation for Reinforcement Learning 
  • Machine Learning training and verification 
  • Machine Learning model analysis 
  • Data science for behaviors, particularly trajectory processing tasks 
  • Knowledge of characteristics of 3D world representations in the autonomous driving domain 
  • Experience in processing and analyzing trajectory data 
  • Python and Pytorch experience 
  • Software engineering experience, coding standards, documentation, testing

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

  • Considered very skilled and proficient in discipline; conducts important work under minimal supervision and with latitude for independent judgment. 
  • Scope of influence: Expected to communicate and collaborate within the team and participate with the team’s interfaces to the rest of the organization. Interface with other teams and design software units for the team’s products. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 4+ years of experience or;  
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 0-3+ years of experience. 
  • Required Qualifications (some combination of the following skills): 
  • Modeling & Learning Techniques 
  • Build Model Architectures, Model Training, Model Analysis, Reinforcement Learning, Actor Prediction, Data Analysis 
  • Data Management & Quality 
  • Data Ontology & Quality 
  • Tools, Infrastructure & Software 
  • Python, Pytorch, Software Skills (and many subsets thereof)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Torc's total compensation package will also include our corporate bonus and stock option plan. Dependent on the position offered, sign-on payments, relocation, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
