The Boeing Company is seeking a Specialist to join our Digital Aviation & Analytics team supporting global airline customers. In this role, you’ll help ensure the stability, performance, and resilience of mission-critical applications including e-commerce platforms, customer portals, training systems, and airline support tools.
You will collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to build observability, respond to incidents, and develop automation for fault detection and self-healing. This is a customer-facing role where technical expertise meets clear communication. Position Responsibilities:
Participate in incident response efforts and root cause analysis
Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) and business to communicate outages, updates and future state
Create and maintain a communication strategy to keep airlines, and stakeholders aware of ecosystem health
Collaborate with senior engineers to implement monitoring, alerting, and automated health checks for production systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues in cloud environments such as Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Assist in documenting incident findings and improving runbooks and playbooks
Help improve observability and reliability across distributed services
Communicate technical issues and system status clearly with internal stakeholders and support teams
Collaborate with application development teams to embed reliability best practices during design and delivery
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with data engineering and data pipelines for On-Prem cloud, hybrid data models and data warehouses
3+ years of experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Virtual Machines
3+ years of experience with designing and developing software for complex systems such as Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications, and Client - Server Architectures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience with hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud operations
Experience supporting customer-facing platforms or Business to Business (B2B) e-commerce applications
Experience with incident management frameworks and SLO/SLI practices
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional Agile teams
