About the Role:
As one of the Micro Space Planning Managers, you will lead the development and execution of merchandising standards at a product level, ensuring optimal product placement and planogram performance across the
Bunnings network. This role is pivotal in driving store efficiency and enhancing the customer shopping experience.
Reporting to the Space Planning Manager, you will manage a team of specialists focused on planogram creation, SKU optimisation, and merchandising compliance.
What's involved:
Oversee the creation and maintenance of planograms for all store formats, ensuring alignment with merchandising principles and standards.
Collaborate with Category Managers and Buyers to support range reviews and implement category changes effectively.
Identify opportunities to enhance planogram performance, supporting the improvement in maximising the return on space.
Work closely with Merchandising, Operations, Store Development, and Suppliers to ensure seamless execution of space planning initiatives.
Lead, coach, and empower your team to:
Provide data-driven recommendations on Planogram and SKU performance
Support merchants in making informed ranging decisions.
Assist in new store openings, upgrades, and expansions by delivering accurate micro space planning solutions.
Who we’re looking for:
You’ll bring a sharp analytical mindset and a strong ability to work with large datasets to uncover insights that drive smarter decisions.
You’ll be confident navigating technical detail while keeping the bigger picture in view. Your leadership style is all about building trust, empowering others, and creating a culture of collaboration and accountability. Strong communication is key—you know how to influence, negotiate and bring people on the journey.
You’ll need:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role ideally within a large retail organisation
Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building, and influencing skills at all organizational levels
Strategic planning and organisational skills
Experience working with customer and market insights advantageous
Experience in using large datasets, with the ability to analyse and determine performance to drive business outcomes highly regarded
Proficiency across the Microsoft suite (advanced in Excel and PowerPoint)
