The Opportunity:
We’re seeking an advance level System Administrator with extensive experience with Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) to join our team as a Systems Engineer specializing in MFOM installation and maintenance (Tiered Support).  As a Systems Engineer specializing in MFOM, you will be at the forefront of installing, testing, and maintaining the MFOM suite of applications across various Navy shipboard environments. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure optimal system performance and resolve complex technical issues. This role offers unique opportunities to travel to naval installations, work directly with Navy personnel, and apply your technical expertise with MFOM and AWN afloat. Selected candidate will work on site on a 5 workday / 40 hour work schedule however pending on Govt approval may transition to a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform shipboard installations of the MFOM suite of applications on Navy shipboard environments (e.g., CANES, ISNS).

  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in collaboration with other MFOM engineering and technical personnel.

  • Install and test new MFOM software releases to ensure seamless integration with relevant operating systems.

  • Complete all documentation and deliverables related to shipboard installations, including SOVT, ILS, DD1149, and RMMCO check-in and check-out procedures.

  • Provide a wide range of technical services in support of MFOM-related software and work closely with U.S. Navy personnel.

  • Travel to naval installations (CONUS, OCONUS) to assist with application installations or upgrades across multiple classified and unclassified platforms.

  • Support activities within the MFOM test lab, including Configuration Management, validation of application installers, and system test events.

  • Provide Information Assurance (IA) support on an as-needed basis, including tasks such as running ACAS scans of fleet-deployed systems.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • US Citizenship

  • Active Secret clearance 

  • Processes a valid US Passport 

  • CompTIA Security+ CE or Network+ certification

  • Technical training in software maintenance and sustainment supporting Department of the Navy (DoN) maintenance, logistics, and business systems (MFOM preferred)

  • Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with software maintenance products such as MFOM AWN (preferred) or its predecessor (OMMS-NG), with a minimum of 8 years of advanced specialized experience with MFOM, including AWN

  • Demonstrated experience in at least three (3) of the following five (5) areas: System Administration, Software Maintenance and Sustainment, Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, and Test & Evaluation

  • Demonstrated leadership in supporting DoN maintenance, logistics, and business systems such as MFOM

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and Navy personnel

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$61,600-$129,300
