Job Summary

Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage Flex Circuit Integrations (FCI) department staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans, manages and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Directs and controls activities within a sub-region or Region. Typically manages 7 or more direct reports with extended engineering and operations staffs. The role engages with various stakeholders to maintain relationships and identify process improvement opportunities. The role applies expert knowledge to drive change initiatives and performance goals.

Responsibilities
Accountable for FCI manufacturing and engineering operational activities for multiple, complex product lines, ensuring that performance (Availability, Quality, EHS, RBA, Yield, Cost, Inventory, CAPEX, Fixed Assets, Workforce planning, engagement & etc.) meets the overall business needs. Manages a team of senior-level exempt individual contributors and first level managers who typically support a complex regional global business unit.
Responsible for departmental headcount strategy & resource plan; from hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
Ensures the delivery of products and services that meet the quality performance metrics defined by senior management; supports the design of performance measurement processes.
Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
Creates new operational efficiencies and cost savings within the operation on a broad scale, using process improvement.
Manages the manufacturing activities from a strategic level with internal and/or external parties, ensuring that operations achieving key business metrics. Oversees the development and delivery of complex initiatives that can impact the supply chain globally, typically requiring the leadership of cross-functional and cross-regional teams.

Education & Experience Recommended

First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

Typically 10+ years of experience in an operations management, supply chain or engineering function (or related fields).

Typically >5 years of people management experience.

•Advanced knowledge of manufacturing management business and technology requirements and strategies. Lead departmental communications & engagement.

•Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences (e.g. written, verbal, presentation), mastery in English and local language.
•Knowledgeable of country specific legislative and regulatory compliance. Utilizes the expertise of others as necessary.

•Advanced project management and project sponsorship skills.
•Advanced people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.
•Advance influencing, consulting and negotiation skills (e.g., ensuring strategic alignment between 3rd Party and HP on goals and objectives).
•Excellent business acumen. Strong understanding of HP's policies and processes.
