About the Role:
 

This position is a fixed-term role till 30.04.27.

As a Process Engineer (MES) at Takeda, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations at Takeda Ireland Ltd. Grange Castle (TILGC).
You will focus on the Werum PAS-X MES system, ensuring its effective implementation, operation, and integration with systems such as SAP and Data Historian.

In this role, you will act as the technical lead for MES-related projects while supporting day-to-day operations and training others to build MES capability across the site. You’ll work in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment, helping Takeda deliver life-changing medicines safely and efficiently.

How you will contribute :

  • Act as technical lead for MES projects, including EBR, SAP, and Data Historian integration.
  • Support development and optimization of MES processes and electronic batch records (EBRs).
  • Provide technical support for MES implementation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Lead e-MBR authoring and configuration for existing business processes.
  • Create and maintain system documentation such as designs, configurations, and test protocols.
  • Support qualification and validation activities, including testing and vendor liaison (Werum).
  • Develop and maintain MES-related SOPs and deliver user training across departments.
  • Cross-train team members to strengthen MES expertise on site.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and all Takeda quality standards.
  • Participate in on-call support and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Can Bring to Takeda :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with MES systems, ideally Werum PAS-X.
  • Knowledge of SAP and data historian systems is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of GMP and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
