OVERVIEW
The Merchandiser and Trainer for Malaysia will strategically grow and develop the sell-through of Trend Micro’s consumer solutions within the Malaysian market. This includes visiting retail shop locations countrywide, meeting with store management and training sales representatives with the aim of increasing sell through revenue. Additionally looking to develop new sales opportunities via our distribution partners.
This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and open-minded environment. Ideal for an experienced, energetic, and proactive individual who will represent Trend Micro as the face of the brand in Malaysia.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage relationships with local retailers and identify new sales opportunities.
Assist Senior Channel Manager in managing distribution partners, including stock management, and act as the local point of contact.
Support National Retail stores with sales opportunities, merchandising, training, and maintain regular contact via store visits, phone, and email.
Conduct training sessions for store staff to ensure awareness of product benefits and promotional activities (group or one-on-one).
Develop and execute in-store promotions to drive product sales.
Maintain a strong knowledge of Trend Micro’s consumer solutions.
Provide weekly reports detailing activities, store visits, competitive insights, promotional updates, and marketing opportunities.
Ensure key meetings are documented and minutes distributed.
Applicants will be required to have the ability to travel countrywide (at the company’s expense) for up to a week at a time.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Fluent in English and local languages.
Confident, goal-oriented self-starter.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective negotiation skills.
Proven experience as a Merchandiser and Trainer or Sales Representative with an IT vendor is preferred.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with IT Retailers.
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
