JOB PURPOSE
Set up and operate CNC lathe & milling equipment to ensure the manufacturing of high-quality parts and tools without defects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting up, operating, and maintaining 5-axis CNC milling equipment to perform machining to meet key performance indicators.
Performing in-process inspection to produce product in compliance within production guidelines to ensure safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures are followed.
LEVEL “A” Must make major adjustments to CNC programs and set-ups as required and work with Engineering to develop best machining programming techniques and tooling selection as required, document and report all adjustments/corrections.
Responsible for operating multiple production machines.
Using manufacturing reporting systems.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and process plans.
Must be fluent in G & M code and prove out first run programs daily.
Must demonstrate good eye-hand coordination and agility.
Being self-directed and working in team environments is expected.
Positions may be requested to work weekend or off shift scheduling to meet business needs.
Frequent Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, typing, eye/hand/foot coordination, carrying objects, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, handling
EDUCATION
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree or Diploma from a Technical College or Trade School preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of CNC milling experience.
Experience with machining and cutting operations required.
Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred.
LICENCES & CERTIFICATES
Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the USA.
OTHER INFORMATION
Domestic and Global travel may be required.
