Position Summary

The Medical Director at MIORA Performance + Longevity plays a critical role in overseeing matters related to medical supervision, patient care, clinical protocols, and medical judgment. The Medical Director ensures that all patient care is delivered in accordance with evidence-based protocols and meets the MIORA experience standards.

Major Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Medical Supervision:

  • Provide medical supervision for patient care and clinical protocols, ensuring the highest standards of care, patient safety, and medical ethics.
  • Oversee clinical decision-making for Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Registered Dietitians (RDs), and Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • Review Medical Provider and Dietitian patient charts to ensure adherence to evidence-based medical practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements are met to clinical standards.

Patient Care & Coordination:

  • Partner with Medical Providers and Registered Dietitians to create on-going care plans for particularly for complex cases, to ensure patients receive optimal care and attention.
  • Be available to the clinic team to support any escalated patient concerns.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing healthcare practices, including maintaining accreditation and adherence to licensing requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses, certifications and training requirements for medical providers.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, or integrative medicine).
  • Current and valid medical licensure in the relevant state.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience
  • Experience in integrated healthcare or wellness practices preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills, with a commitment to evidence-based care.
  • Strong understanding of integrated healthcare principles, wellness programs, and patient education.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
