Location - Hybrid - Basingstoke - 3 days per week

Due to growth, we seek a (Senior) Medical Advisor with working experience in Neuroscience to lead our Neurodegeneration pipeline. 

Organizational Overview:

We are looking for you to be an integral member of the Lilly Neuroscience Medical Affairs team, a Medical Advisor/Senior Medical Advisor – Driving strategic planning and commercialization activities, focusing on patients’ needs, and ultimately enhancing the customers’ experience in interacting with the company.  

Responsibilities:

  • To provide medical expertise in Neuroscience, across the Lilly Neurodegeneration product portfolio but not specifically, including affiliate, regional and global teams, contributing to medical strategies and brand commercialization.

  • Ensure detailed, current knowledge of the respective Molecule(s) data. And contribute to scientific and medical expertise to develop effective partnerships with relevant functions, including PRA, Clinical Operations, Corporate Affairs, Human Resources, Legal, Marketing, Medical Information, Global Product Safety, and Training.

  • Knowledge of compliance with local laws and regulations, global policies and procedures, and compliance guidelines regarding data dissemination and interactions with external healthcare professionals. Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials in line with the local compliance guidelines.

  • Drive the response to challenges from competitors, the PMCPA, and the MHRA within the predetermined timelines.

  • To provide visible leadership to other members of the Medical Department and the broader UK business.

  • Understand and anticipate the information needs of all payers, patients, and health care providers, particularly giving clinical input and insight to develop payer partnership programs.

  • To contribute to Medical Education activities, including business planning, approval and certification of materials, and scientific data exchange/dissemination. 

  • Assist Medical Information and Global Product Safety UK as requested, including out-of-hours calls.

  • Provide initial and ongoing disease, product, and competitor training for all Lilly employees and HCPs, as determined by business needs.

  • Support the planning of symposia, advisory board, and medical meetings, preparation, and review of medical letters and other medical information assets. 

Basic Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Full registered GMC or eligible Physician/Pharmacist and basic medical/pharmacy qualification (e.g. MBBS/MD).

  • Desired therapeutic expertise in the clinical and/or industry within Neurodegeneration.

  • Working experience as an ABPI Final Signatory.

Additional Skills/ Preferences:

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritise and adapt to changing priorities within the team 

  • A balanced commercial and scientific orientation, displaying initiative and motivation, strong teamwork and negotiation skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, written and verbal)

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written communication.

  • Travel – 20% - Domestic and International is required.
